Born in Dolakha, Nepal, Namun Tamang is a distinguished Nepali artist, renowned for his contributions to the field of painting and visual arts. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Lalitkala Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. His artistic journey has been marked by a blend of traditional techniques and contemporary innovations, reflecting his unique cultural heritage and global perspectives.
Artistic Endeavors:
In 2019, Tamang co-founded the Thang Ku Artists’ Group, a platform dedicated to promoting art and artists in Nepal. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the group made a notable comeback with Pixkala in 2023, a significant initiative he also founded. Pixkala serves as a vibrant space for showcasing contemporary art and fostering artistic dialogue.
